April/May 2012

Kai's first camp out.  As you see we have a great fire going, tent and he even brought his stuffed Brachiosaurus  out to spend the night with us.  However, 5 minutest later, he said, "I think I'm going to go inside and see Mommy and Leila."  Oh well, maybe next time.

The cousins, Leila, Kai and baby Cam
We enjoyed a wonderful visit from Grandpa Schultz.  Here he is spending some quality time with Leila blowing bubbles.

Princess Leila with her tiara and earrings on.  Oh boy.

Springtime fun!

Here are some pictures of the kids' newest outdoor toys. Their new 4 wheeler, courtesy of our friends the Thompson's. Thanks so much guys, the kids love it!

"Watch where you're going Kai!"
Uh oh, this could be trouble! She looks like she means business.
And they also got new bikes, too!

I haven't been taking as many pictures lately, I guess because of the colder weather has been keeping us inside a lot. However, I am not complaining about the winter, it has been nice and mild without feet and feet of snow to shovel. Here are some recent pics of the kids, hope everyone is well.

"Mmmm, ice cream"
"That was good, daddy!"
Relaxin'
Kai and his funny faces
"Daddy, I got all dressed up to go fishing, but there's no fish to catch in here!"
"Caught something!"
Interesting hood ornament

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Holiday Season. By request, here are some pics of the kids from Christmas and New Year's. They sure were treated well by Santa Claus, but I must say they deserved it all!

"Thanks for my jacket, Ginny!"
Leila got a Zebra, and walked around giving it milk from a baby bottle all morning.
So Kai thought he would give his new giraffe a bottle too, although it is a ketchup bottle, but oh well!
"See what I got, Casey? It's not for you!"

Leila got a robotic dog from MiMi and Pa, that barks and moves around, she loves it
And she liked the box that one of her new teddy bears came in just as much!
"Thanks for everything MiMi and Pa!!!!"
After Christmas we spent the rest of the week at the beach. And they sure enjoyed it as you can see from the pictures! And yes, Kai has no shoes on! The water was 38-40 degrees that weekend, but he didn't seem to mind. Until we left the beach, that was when he realized he was freezing!
Walking to the beach with Pa
And when we got to the beach we had the chance to see a whale swimming not too far out. The kids loved it and thought it was so cool. I did too.
It started with just dipping his feet in, and ended up like this!

While Kai swam, Leila dug in the sand
Then it was New Year's Eve
"Happy New Year!!!"

Then the next morning we all did the Fenwick Freeze! The Schultz's and DeCarlo's as well as 300 other people in Fenwick Island, DE took a dip in the freezing cold Atlantic Ocean. It was great!
"BRRRRRRR!!!!"
And Casey got to run around on the beach with the family too!
And we saw a beautiful sunset from Mom and Dad's house on the bay. It doesn't matter how many times you see it, each time it is just as amazing.

Happy Holidays to everyone!!!

Happy 2nd birthday to Leila!!!!

Leila had her 2nd birthday this past month, Happy Birthday to Baby Girl! Here's some pictures of the cupcakes she enjoyed at her party. And you can see she really enjoyed them!

"Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you...
Blowing out her candles
And enjoying her cupcakes
The aftermath
Playing with one of her presents from Uncle Mike and Aunt Mary. "Thanks!"
"Uh, Leila, I don't think Kai is going to be too happy you ate his ginger bread house!"
Kai enjoyed some cupcakes at the party too. By the way, the shirt he has on is one my dad got for me when he was in Kenya, approximately 25 years ago! Pretty cool
Kai and baby brachiosaurus having lunch
"Hope to see everyone soon!!!!!"
